Prof. Ganeshi Lal Suthar, well-known Vedic scholar and writer, was honoured with Rishi Samman, an award honouring persons who have dedicated their life to the study of veda-shastra, during the National Webinar on Ambhovada on August 28, 2021. The seminar was organised by Shri Shankar Shikshayatan.
Rishi Samman is an integral part of Shri Shankar Shikshayatan's mission to propagate Vedic learning and honour dedicated teachers of veda-shastra.
Prof. Ganeshi Lal Suthar is former director, Pandit Madhusudan Ojha Shodha Prakosht (Research department), at Jai Narain Vyas University, Jodhpur (Rajasthan). He is well known for research and publication of several books related to Pandit Madhusudan Ojhaji's profound work on veda-vijnana.
He was on February 3, 1947, in Jodhpur. He attained his MA and PhD with flying colours from Jai Narain Vyas University. His guru was the famous Vedic teacher, Swami Surjandas Swami.
He joined his alma mater as an Assistant Professor and later on became a Professor. He then became a Reader at Shri Harisingh Gaur University, Sagar (Madhya Pradesh) before returning to head the Pandit Madhusudan Ojha Research Department at Jai Narain Vyas University.
There are 18 well known books to his credit. He has edited several volumes of Pandit Madhsudan Ojha and has the distinction of bringing to light many important works of Ojhaji.
He is the recipient of several state as well as national awards, including President's award for distinguished contribution to Sanskrit in 2013.
Prof Lal is currently engaged in study, research, editing and publication of important texts on Sanskrit and vedic science.
